Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is an Mexican American journalist. She currently works as a sportscaster for ESPN, working as anchor for SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. In 2016, she was a part of ESPN. Her mother is television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from her age of nine. This ability which helped her obtain her first position as an Univision producer assistant Miami. In Miami, she worked with the producers of national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. The CBS station located in St. Petersburg hired her after this as a sports reporter. Then, in 2009 the news reporter relocated from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as and Fox2 News. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley, Texas and became a reporter for KNVO 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. She was also frequently required to act as a weather and sports anchor. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's affiliate station in Dallas. In that station, she was given greater responsibility. She covered all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. She also hosted on the regional Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. She was a host of sports for the morning show that is Despierta America Deportes. It was the same role for Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo on the UniMas Network. Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. Eventually, they settled in Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November the 22nd of November, 1985. There is a sister. In 1992, the family settled in Miami after moving from Mexico into the US. Within a brief time her father divorced from her mother. She later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died of kidney cancer in 2006. When on vacation Antonietta spent the time at her sister's house in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins brother had recently been offered an offer to work. Antonietta was about to graduate from high school, however she knew what she was going to accomplish. It was a beautiful campus and offered the degree she wanted. When she completed her high school education she enrolled in the university to study media studies. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was student in the class, established an ongoing relationship with the student. He was the one who boosted her confidence, and his passion for journalism deeply touched her. In turn, she was determined to exceed his expectations, never letting him down.
